Children’s First Aid

Cuts, burns, falls, fever, allergies: the right response to everyday injuries and illnesses. For parents, grandparents and childcare professionals.

3 hFR / EN / NLCertificate issuedBrussels & Walloon Brabant

Children’s first aid covers the situations every parent eventually faces: a fall down the stairs, a burn on the stove, a fever rising at night, an allergic reaction. Three hours to know what to do, what not to do, and when to call the doctor or 112. The natural companion to Paediatric First Aid, which covers life-threatening emergencies.

Programme

  • Cuts, grazes and nosebleeds: clean, protect, when to seek care.
  • Burns and scalds: cool, cover, the mistakes to avoid.
  • Falls, bumps and head injuries: the warning signs.
  • Fever and febrile seizures: measure, relieve, respond.
  • Allergies and insect stings: recognising a severe reaction and responding.
  • Poisoning and swallowed products: the right reflexes and the Poison Centre number.
  • The first-aid kit for home and nursery.
